The Opportunity
To strengthen my learning experience design practice with user-centered methods, I enrolled in the Google UX Design Professional Certificate. This professional development allowed me to deepen my ability to empathize with learners, uncover pain points, and translate complex needs into practical design solutions.

The Solution
As part of the UX Research phase, I tackled a design challenge for an amusement park snack shop mobile ordering app. I created research assets including a screener survey with skip logic, an empathy map, user personas, user stories, and user journey maps. These deliverables gave me hands-on practice in systematically gathering and synthesizing user insights.
The process emphasized rapid prototyping, structured research methods, and iterative feedback. More importantly, it reinforced the importance of grounding design decisions in empathy and evidence, skills that directly transfer to my work as an LXD when designing learner journeys and aligning solutions with real-world user needs.
The Impact
Through this project, I built practical fluency with UX research tools such as Figma, FigJam, and survey design platforms, while also strengthening my mindset as a user advocate. These methods now inform how I approach needs analysis, persona-based learning design, and journey mapping in enterprise learning projects, ensuring solutions are both learner-centered and impactful.
